Stories of fans and their various encounters with 112.
KIM:
I have basically been admiring all who have had the chance to meet
112 as a whole or individual members. Well, I am happy to say that
I finally got my chance. I met 112 on Fri., 4/25/03 @ Dreams night
club in Washington, D.C. I was able to go into the VIP and talk to
my baby Daron. 112, Jagged Edge and Carl Thomas hosted the event.
By the time I talked to Daron, he was so twisted (from drinking) it
was ridiculous. His eyes were almost closed. I truly believe that
he didn't know whether he was coming or going. That blew me a
little, I wasn't expecting my first and maybe only encounter was
going to be with him being drunk. I gave Q my number to give to him because he disappeared
with this chic for a minute and I didn't think he was coming back
anytime soon. By the time he did come back I was about to leave and
I approached him to let him know that Q has my number and I told him
that I wasn't trying to push up on him but if he wanted to converse,
be free to call me, he said he would. We talked a little more (it
was hard to really talk w/ the loud music) then we hugged for a while
and he kissed me on the neck and I left. It wasn't what I thought
it would be but I feel blessed that I got to see someone I really
liked in person so close.

JHOVAY THOMPSON:
Being a fan is the life, especially if you have inside connections... I've met
the guys more than once and hear this, I know them now! My sister used to date
a cousin of Mike's and he decided to take us to a concert in ATL an' clubbin
afterwards at Club 112 (an that club is the jump off you hear me? ) so they
like this is Mickey Mouse, my name is Michelle, so everybody calls me that, and
we took pictures and Haha I got to dance with Daron. (It was the Peaches and
Cream Remix with Ludacris, I am not gonna forget that) so we chille out for a
while and let me tell you, when their not working, them boys can hang. We
didn't leave till like 2 in the morning and then everybody wanted to go find
other parties!
But beyond that, the guys are great to chill with and Mike is good to talk to,
if you were to ever meet him and have like a one on one, he'd really listen to
you. They're downt o earth, respectful, polite, and gentlemen, but they can
throw down if need be, feel me? I love the guys much and I hope verything works
out witht hem an Bad Boy an all that...

It would take me forever to write about every experience with meeting 112, but
I will tell about the second time I met them in Feb. 1999. I was driving
around with two other of my friends(also 112 fans) when we heard them live on
the radio. We flipped out. The first thing we thought was, "Let's go to the
radio station." So, we're on our way there, but half way before we got there,
they were off air and would be soon leaving. Still on our way, we drove past a
building called Second City, at the time, which was where their concert later
on that night would be. Driving past we seen a parked van with people still in
the process of getting out of it. Those people happened to be 112, Kevin Wales,
Lil' Zane(and manager Chris), and bodyguards which included Big Mo.( They are
all nice people let me tell you) I had to contain myself because I was ready to
jump out of the car. I told my friends, "I have to get out of the car, now!"
So, I dragged one friend out, as the other looked for a parking spot. Mike and
Slim seen us, and waved. Mike gave me that look like, "You look familiar". They
invited us in to Second City where they were. They greeted us with hugs. We sat
and talked before they went into the actual auditorium part of the building,
where their concert would be, for a sound check. While they were leaving to go
to the sound check, my friend and I went over to talk to Lil' Zane. After
talking for about 10 minutes, it was time for him to go to the sound check
also. So now it was just me, my friend, and some guy that came with 112. There
was nothing but a door holding me back from going to the sound check. I asked
the guy if we could go in, he shrugged his shoulders. I didn't know if that was
an 'I don't know' or an 'I don't care' so, I took it upon myself to go in.
There was no one in there but 112, Zane, managers, Arista reps and us. The
seats were stadium built/ stadium seating/ whatever you call it. At first we
sat in the back. I couldn't take it. That wasn't close enough. We ended up in
the second row from the stage where we sat next to Zane and manager Chris.(
They are some sweethearts) My best friend and I have been dancing together
since I can remember and had previously recorded 112 on BET's Planet Groove
where they had performed various songs. Most of them had choreography so we,
being the dancers that we are, learned the choreography, if it wasn't already
known from previous performances. 112 cracked up to see us doing the dances
while in our seats along with them. Now I have a crush on Mike, so I try to be
where he is, but during one of the breaks, he came and sat next to me. We
talked for a second, but it was time for him to go back on the stage to
practice some more. Well, two hours had gone by and the sound check was over.
We said our 'good-byes', but knew that we would see them again one day. In
fact, we seen them the next day at another concert where we were in the second
row once again.
To 112 fans, don't let anyone tell you that you are not capable
of living a dream. I have been a fan of 112 since 1996 and many people told me,
"You're never going to meet 112, so get over it." I am blessed to say that I
have met them a total of 6 times and out of the 6, 3 times of which I seen them
twice that day or the day after I seen them the first time. They are 4 very
nice and down to earth men that I enjoyed meeting and seeing every time that I
have met them.

CARAMEL_SUGA112:
I haven't met the fellas in person yet. But I have kinda met them
indirectly through my cousin. What happened was... when Part 3 was
getting ready to come out, I found out on the radio that the fellas
were coming to my area of VA. So of course y'all know how hyped i
was. I never went to a concert before. And I wasn't about to miss
that one. So going to that, I was all excited. So I asked my cousin
to go with me. But little that i knew, my cousin had a little
surprise for me. To come to find out, her and her friend went to a
party in another city in VA which where my cousin lives. That night i
thought she had to work, but she didn't go she went to the party
instead. Later on that week, hours before the concert, my cousin
surprised me with a 112 poster autographed and a couple more
autographs that the fellas all signed for me. I was surprised. My
cousin told me that the party that she went to was a meet and greet
some kinda VIP party that the fellas went to. So she said she met the
fellas and they are some nice guys. She told them all about me and
that i was a big fan of theirs and she told Q that he was my favorite
hehe. She told me they asked her where was I, how come I didn't come?
She told them I couldn't make it because i had school the next day.
But, she showed them my picture instead. Then she said Q signed the
back of my picture. (I still got that picture hanging from my mirror)
lol. That's not all lol Later on i got a bigger surprise..
When we went to the concert, everything was cool. Until, this guy was
staring at us. So at first i didn't pay any attention. But then it
got a tad bit strange. The guy was walking back and forth looking at
us. then i asked my cousin do she know him? She didn't say nothing
but smiled. Then finally the guy came over to us and evidently he
knew my cousin. She said that was the guy that she met at the 112
party that night. Anyway. then it was time for the show to start.
Y'all, it was off the chain. While the show was going on, the guy
came back to us and he asked me what my name was so i told him. So
then he told me, he'll be back in 5 minutes he had a special surprise
for me. So at this time, i didn't know what was going on. My cousin
didn't tell me nothing. I was totally confused about this guy. When
he came back, he was like Shawntina, this is a gift from the fellas.
It was a autographed picture of them and an autographed cd. So i
gotten their cd before it came out. I was so shocked hehe. But that's
not all, after the concert they came back out to say goodbye to
everybody. But i heard one of the fellas yell out Shawntina Shawntina
baby where you at? My cousin yelled back hehe and said she's right
here. So i raised my hand and waved back at them. And they yelled out
boo we love you. And that just made my whole night right there I
smiled all the way home hehe My cousin was like you can stop smiling
the concert is over lol.
